We are a not-for-profit association driven to support and equip small and medium sized enterprises for success and economic growth and are committed to our Vision of “Prosperity for Australia through successful SMEs.”
The SME Association of Australia was officially launched on 6th October 2011 and since then we have grown to enormous levels. We are an association representing and connecting SMALL and MEDIUM ENTERPRISES and understand the important role SMEs play in Australia's economy. There are around two million small businesses in Australia, comprising more than 95% of all businesses in Australia.
Our Mission is “To equip SMEs for success and economic growth” and we aim to achieve this by providing membership services to SMEs throughout Australia by delivering SME specific events and workshops, access to educational resources, SME specific publications and e-newsletters including Australia's longest running small business magazine My Business, online business and supplier directory and providing real cost savings to SMEs through our SME Advantage Group Buying Program.
March 2014 SME Association Survey
Over the next quarter, the newly appointed SME Australia board has arranged meetings with State and Federal governments and several of the Small Business Commissioners throughout the country. In order to fairly and accurately represent our members’ concerns to government, we have launched on online survey to gather opinions from the SME community.
SME Australia encourages all SME business owners and My Business readers to voice their opinions by completing this survey to enable SME Australia to gain a solid view of the primary concerns, issues and ideas that we can represent to government on behalf of the association and its members.
The survey, to be conducted independently by long term member Stable Research, doesn’t take long to complete, and can be found at:
